A weekend away on the Isle of Wight at the Vectis open hosted by Wight Bowmen was well worth the trip for 3 of our compound archers. Saturday comprised of 2 Worcester rounds where Vicky scored 300 in both but a perfect score of 60 Xs in the second round.

Vicky retained the UK National Championship for 5 Spot Worcester and 2 gold medals. Stuart also scored 300 in both rounds and 2 gold medals. Rachael scored 2 Personal Best's of 299 and 2 silver medals. Together they won the Team Trophy and set a new record score of 899 beating the previous record by 3 points.

Sunday was a Portsmouth Round with Vicky winning the Ladies Compound category. Rachael was 2nd and won Best Gold and more importantly a box of chocolates!!

Stuart won the Gents Compound category and also Archer Supreme - for the highest scores total over the 2 days.

It was a fantastic performance by all 3 archers who are becoming quite the team to be reckoned with at this tournament. The Club is extremely proud of them and all their hard work to get such great results. Thanks also to Wight Bowmen for another superbly organised competition www.wightbowmen.org.uk
