At AC Delco Bowmen we are lucky to have a great coaching team. We can take people from beginner to competition standard, always ensuring that they learn at their own pace. Many of our archers regularly compete at county and even international level.

But there is no pressure and we recognise that some club members wish to improve their archery skills for the sheer joy of shooting a bow. The coaches are always keen to help everyone, whatever their goals and motivation.

Some of our coaches are experienced in providing specialist support for disabled archers.

The sport of archery is far more accommodating for disabilities than most people would expect and we can coach archers with a range of physical, sensory and mental health issues including, for example, wheelchair users, visually impaired/blind archers and those with social communication difficulties.

At AC Delco Bowmen there is no charge for coaching other than for the beginners' courses.

 

All our coaches are DBS checked and certified by our governing body 'Archery GB', and we have a safeguarding policy and a safeguarding co-ordinator in place.

Most of our coaches are archers too. When they are available for coaching they wear a red top and any archer can approach them for assistance. Coaches not wearing a red top may be shooting or engaged in other club business and, therefore, probably unavailable for coaching so do check.
