RESOURCES

This page is for resources that we feel will be useful to all levels of archer.

Basic Recurve checks

It is important that we understand some basic setup features of a recurve bow. These include Brace Height, Tiller, Nock Height, and Centre Shot. Below are some video links to Jake Kaminski's videos on each subject.

Brace height is the distance between the string and the pressure button (or throat of the grip). It's best to pick one method and stick to it. You will need a brace height gauge for this.

Tiller is the difference in measurement between the top and bottom limbs. You will need a brace height gauge for this.

Nock Height is the measurement of the nocking point on the string. You will need a brace height gauge for this.
