Members brave the cold for the Great Tommy Sleep out

15 Mar 2024

Members raise much needed funds for an amazing cause.

On Friday 15th March 2024, Club Member Ken Noyce and his son braved the cold and camp out for the night in the bid to raise funds for The Great Tommy Sleep out.

The shoot was open to all new archers who were within their first year since doing their beginner’s course.

The great Tommy Sleep Out challenges participants to brave the elements and sleep outside for one night. raising money for The Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) and raising awareness for homeless ex-service men and women.

The charity helps provide safe, warm housing and ensures everyone has a fair opportunity to gain employment, regardless of health conditions or disability.

With the help of sponsors, Ken managed to raise an amazing £1,009, beating their fundraising target by a whopping 672%. These funds will go a long way towards assisting RBLI in their mission.

Thank you to all those who donated to the cause and a massive congratulations to Ken and his son. A big thank you as well to Ken, for the marvellous treats that were available for a donation towards the cause as well.
