What an epic day and night!!!!! The first arrow was shot at 8.00am. on Saturday and there were people shooting at all times until 8.00am Sunday. We also had a Shoot the Answer Quiz compiled and compered by the fantastic Tony. It was SO hot some of us couldn't remember the question let alone the answer 😂 It was a triumph for the team aptly named the 'Brainy Burts'. We also held a raffle and Bungle the Bear was won by an ecstatic Junior member. As it cooled down in the early hours our hardy archers kept on shooting. Several people stayed the entire 24 hours which was heroic in the heat, although it was apparently chilly around 3.30am. They were relieved and possibly delirious when the hooter sounded on Sunday morning to bring the shoot to a close. So far the event has raised £2,762.50 for the much needed Young Minds, which is our charity of the year in memory of Archie Pond.
