This Easter weekend saw Southampton Archery Club hold it's annual Double York/Hereford shoot which bought much success for AC Delco. The saturday was bright sunshine and ideal conditions for a perfect shoot, however sunday was trickier with an unpredictable wind. All the archers taking part enjoyed themselves and a special thankyou goes to Kate for going above and beyond by supporting the SAC work party, alongside her adding moral support for the team archers shooting, with support also from Emma, Graham and Carolyn. Results - starting with the ladies - Vicky broke the county record that had stood for 13 years and took gold in the woman's compound, followed by Rachael who picked up the silver medal. For the gents we saw James take home the gold for men's compound and Stuart bring home the bronze, and Craig also finished with bronze in the mens barebow category. The compound team gold was won by James, Vicky and Rachael & the silver compound team was taken home by Stuart, Steve and Rob. There was no junior category in the competition for the weekend so both Rob and Becca shot in higher categories and did amazingly well, with Becca only just falling short of a medal position. They made the whole team proud with their performance and both came away with some easter eggs as special prizes.
