CLASSIFICATIONS

The Archery GB Classification and Handicap scheme allows archers of all levels to understand their skill level and progress through the various awards available, from the initial Archer 3rd Class classification to Elite Master Bowman.Nine different classification levels are available to all archers, which are grouped into three sets of three. An archer starts with the Archer tier, with 3rd Class, 2nd Class, and 1st Class awards. They then move up to the Bowman tier, again with 3rd Class, 2nd Class, and 1st Class, and then finally the Master Bowman tier, where the naming gets a little more fun with Master Bowman (MB), Grand Master Bowman (GMB), and Elite Master Bowman (EMB).Below are the links to the current Archery GB classification tables.

Indoor Classifications

Master Bowman (MB), Grand Master Bowman (GMB), and Elite Master Bowman (EMB) are all administered by Archery GB.  Archer and Bowman classifications are administered by the club. To achieve a classification, you must score above a certain number of points in multiple competitions in the same year. Details are available in the tables and our guide below.  All indoor classifications are administered by the club.

Archery Geeks has a great classification calculator. It can be found HERE.

AC Delco runs classification shoot days throughout the year. These shoots will be more relaxed and held at our field. They will allow members to work towards their next classification, whilst taking part in organised shoots. All scores must be witnessed by a third party during an organised shoot.

Scores can be submitted to the records officer by email, or by using the form below.
