AC Delco Bowmen Archery Club is situated in Allbrook, north of Eastleigh and Southampton, in Hampshire, very close to junction 12 of the M3.

Beginners' courses are held throughout the year on Saturday mornings where all necessary equipment is available for new archers to use until they develop their technique and are ready to buy their own. Dates of forthcoming courses can be found on the Club's Calendar of Events.

The club was originally founded in 1966 as part of the Sports and Social Club providing facilities to the employees of AC Delco, a company that had manufactured components for the motoring and engineering industries at its factory in Southampton Docks since 1951. At some later time, membership of the club was made available to the general public. In 1998 the company sold its Southampton factory (now demolished) and ceased to have a presence in the area, but the club has continued without changing its name.

Over the winter of 2002/3 we moved to a field opposite the Concorde Club on North Stoneham Lane, which provided us with better facilities and more access than our previous range. The lease on this field ended Easter 2013 and we took refuge at the Trojans Club while new facilites were arranged at Highbridge Farm, Allbrook. During the summer the range is available to club archers during daylight, 7 days a week with some pre-arranged exceptions. These are indicated on the club's Calendar of Events where any variations will also be posted.

The club has a Coaching Team made up of four resident County Coaches, two Level Two and and four Level One Coaches. The membership also contains many archers with great experience who are friendly and willing to help and advise the less experienced.

The club has both nationally and internationally ranked archers and has provided the county teams with many members. Annually, a number of tournaments are held by AC Delco Bowmen details of which can be found elsewhere on this web site.

The club is affiliated to the Grand National Archery Society, Hampshire Archery Association and Southern Counties Archery Society.
